We do not negotiate with terrorists.

Well, that's a lie and was from the moment Reagan said it, and in this case they're just fascist collaborators, but haven't actively engaged in terrorism, yet.

  1. It's not not terrorism just because the guy doing violence to a political end has a uniform.

  2. All the non-uniformed shooters–how many at schools this week?

  3. All the gang assaults of trans people, lynchings when they wear their little ghost costumes, honor killings, etc.

Sure, but is Sinclair the US government and random rednecks?

Corporations and governments getting even more in bed is a big fascist thing. Also they do propaganda for that cause, donate to the campaign, get favors, etc.

(I thought your comment was funny and gave hmmmmm thing from like arsenio hall back in the day or something)

I don't know where that is but I'll assume it was cool.

They aren't terrorists if we have the receipts

Illegal kidnappings to foreign torture prisons absolutely are terrorism. And not mere stochastic terrorism.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

Well, they have, but mostly stochastically

[–] Skyrmir@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

He was talking about Americans, not republicans.

*we always negotiate with terrorists even when they’ve conceded

The astroturfing of Newsom is so gross. Yet another losing Dem candidate in the mold of Hillary Clinton, albeit with a natural CHA stat that's a bit higher out the gate.

Someone said hes the villain from an 80s family movie and I can't unsee it.

Edit: can we start a campaign to kill CA governors at the end of their term? Is that the state legislature or do we need to make a federal law about this?

For me, one incident sums up why he'll lose: French Laundry. When offered a choice between a Republican vs a Democrat who does shit like that, Americans choose the Republican the vast majority of the time.

It's obvious Americans want a left populist. Maaasybe a racist one. Huey long would fucking kill, electorally. Sanders is too old, but could still an election. Would have won with historic numbers against trump.

Fuck anyone the democratic party supports. Aside from the heritage foundation, it is the blackest mark that could exist on their records.

Hey now, Arnold deserves better than that.

And youll notice he fucking retired from politics, just making the occasional movie. I dunno; maybe give them a grace period to flee to Mexico. I'm just worried about them becoming president.

Hell, even Kamala was more charismatic than Hillary.

[–] ThorrJo@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Hillary has kinder gentler Margaret Thatcher energy. But certain people are unable to see it and think she's just a competent technocrat, just like certain other people are unable to perceive narcissism (in Trump or anybody else).

[–] Tinidril@midwest.social 4 points 1 month ago

Kinder and gentler Margaret Thatcher energy? That's weirdly specific, not to mention being a really low bar.

Every time Hillary speaks she oozes elitism, entitlement, and contempt for anyone who stands in her way. She deflects every criticism as sexual discrimination whether it makes sense or not. She is everything that makes people hate Democrats distilled into a single person. She does, however, come across as slightly less narcissistic than Trump.
