Hey he's not a terrorist! He's a war criminal and a genocider. Please.

[–] dessalines@lemmy.ml 89 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

He is absolutely a terrorist also. He fits every definition of one.

Side point but where does this "one-upper" tendency come from? Just let people describe things in terms that make sense to them. This isn't twitter, there's no reason to contradict them.

[–] drolex@sopuli.xyz 31 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I would think that genocide is some order of magnitude worse than terrorist (which is obviously very shitty to begin with), so I would like to make it clear that Bibi is somewhere at the top of my personal ranking of shit people.

But terrorist is fine (if I may say so), too.

[–] orbituary@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 points 2 days ago

It's not an "either/or" scenario. He can be both.

[–] Mycatiskai@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

He is responsible for a genocide in Gaza and possibly in the West Bank but also a terrorist in the other countries they are attacking like the pager attacks that killed children and other innocents in collateral damage.

[–] EndlessNightmare@reddthat.com 12 points 2 days ago

Israel: rigs consumer electronics to explode

Also Israel: throws a fucking tantrum over boycotts directed at them

[–] Greddan@feddit.org 33 points 2 days ago

Israel does fit the definition of a terrorist state, especially since they often admit to terror attacks they either sponsor or commit themselves. Also they had a self-described (and convicted) terrorist as a leader for a while.

[–] Assassassin@lemmy.world 37 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I mean, blowing up aid vans and air striking refugee encampments is pretty terrorist-y

[–] drolex@sopuli.xyz 18 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Fair enough. Terrorist and war criminal and genocidist then

[–] Assassassin@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago (2 children)
[–] trolololol@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Ok he's a terrorist and war criminal and genocidist and wears a bad hair cut. Anything else?

[–] Assassassin@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

Probably has bad taste in music. Huge fan of U2, I'd bet.

[–] Zerush@lemmy.ml 4 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

It's legit to call this asshole and all his supporters what ever you want, except animal names to not insult these

[–] culprit@lemmy.ml 10 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

It is just different levels of specificity really. I found the meme and didn't think to edit it. I think terrorist would be applicable especially for the pager attack, Doha strike on negotiators, attacks of Iranian scientists, etc. Maybe you should look up the Mossad use of terrorism if you are not aware.

[–] degen@midwest.social 8 points 2 days ago

Was about to bring up the pagers cause that's literal state sanctioned terrorism any way you look at it. It's still surprisingly unsurprising that we're cool with it.

Hey, hey, hey... That's fucked up; you can't just call someone a 'genocider' lile thaf...

It's genocid*-ist*

[–] drolex@sopuli.xyz 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I was wondering what's the right word? It's bizarre, it's like genocides happen without a cause à la "thousands of people have been taken in a genocide" - oh well these things happen you know, no one to blame 🤷‍♂️

Netanyahu claimed foreign leaders who “public condemn us privately thank us. They tell me how much they value Israel’s superb intelligence services that have prevented, time and again, terrorist attacks in their capitals.” He did not say which countries’ leaders had privately thanked him.

“So Benjamin, are those leaders in the room with us right now?”

Even the US pulled their senior diplomats who’d normally be there and sent the interns instead lmao

[–] Tidesphere@lemmy.world 24 points 2 days ago (3 children)

He's not trying to say that their Intel service has helped. He's trying to emphasize "privacy" and "Israeli intelligence service" to remind people that Mossad has dirt on them, without literally saying that, imo

[–] Kornblumenratte@feddit.org 8 points 2 days ago

He's talking to his domestic audience, trying to reassure them that his genocide in Gaza is not destroying the international support Israel needs to survive.

[–] Aria@lemmygrad.ml 6 points 2 days ago

Nah he's saying he'll order terrorist attacks against frustraters.

[–] WorldsDumbestMan@lemmy.today 3 points 2 days ago

How about we all agree to bomb Israel and see if they have any intelligence left after that?

[–] Intergalactic@lemmy.world 24 points 2 days ago (2 children)

It took them a really long time to realize. I remember getting ridiculed by dems last year for criticizing Israel.

[–] ShinkanTrain@lemmy.ml 6 points 2 days ago

Now you just get arrested for it. Progress

[–] Zerush@lemmy.ml 4 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

We getting ridiculed in pro.Palestine dems more than 50 years ago. Israel occupy since 70 years illegal palestinian territory

Stock photo of a white man looking at himself in a mirror

[–] Xanthobilly@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago

Haha, like they’d ever be that fit.

[–] t_var_s@lemmy.ml 8 points 2 days ago

That's a fascist.

Mass UN walkout when Netanyahu started speaking.

For others wondering this happened today:

This dude is such a clown. THE CURSE -> Shows a bunch of countries that his country has been committing warcrimes against for decades.

Netanyahu addressing the US Senate

[–] culprit@lemmy.ml 19 points 2 days ago

joint session of US Congress (Senate and House of Representatives)

[–] geneva_convenience@lemmy.ml 15 points 2 days ago

Where is that parody video of the top event where they announce Netanyahu as a baby killer

[–] AOCapitulator@hexbear.net 9 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

What am I looking at?

I assume the one on top is when we did a ceremony honoring that actual SS nazi a while back, but what's the second one?

[–] atomicbocks@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 days ago (5 children)

I’m not yet ready to cede the term “American” to those who would support genocide.

[–] queermunist@lemmy.ml 24 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Yeah, I use USAmerican to differentiate it from the rest of the American nations.

AmeriKKKan is also acceptable.

[–] ShinkanTrain@lemmy.ml 13 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Also Yankee if they're from one of the places that get really mad when they're called Yankees.

[–] nonentity@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 days ago

In Australia we call them Seppos.

Yank > Septic Tank > Seppo.

It also works in that they’re both full of shit.

[–] parody@lemmings.world 3 points 2 days ago

USA has a horrible history of genocide and disruption and imperialism and all that of course—still have found “AmeriKKKa” to be cringe for some reason IDK why

Maybe cuz folks who’ve used it haven’t been eloquent or something? Seriously not sure here, again USA has committed countless crimes and def has Ku Klux Klan in its history

[–] ShinkanTrain@lemmy.ml 23 points 2 days ago (5 children)

Did you miss, like, the last 500 years or something?

If you are paying taxes, you support it whether you wish to or not. Don't you love living in a great democracy?

[–] shawn1122@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 days ago

This has to be satire.

That's not all Americans just the people they pay to represent them. Also I think the other half remained seated, or refused to show up.

[–] that_one_guy@lemmy.ml 8 points 2 days ago

When everyone else is willing to get up and leave sitting instead of standing kind of doesn't hit as hard.
