Magnificent innovation. Oop it broke down in a couple of months
Why your fridge’ ip open to the internet, bro? Why does your fridge needs updates, is it stupid? Why do you need a screen on a fridge, is this pimp my appliances bit?

That's fine. The pay pigs dropping 2 grand on a fucking fridge deserve it.
Further proof that rich Americans are insane.
They aren't even rich necessarily. They are likely just middle class and leveraged out the ass. Putting their treats on their credit cards and hoping they don't get laid off and lose it all.
Still deserve it though. Anyone buying smart refrigerators is ridiculous. Unlike other items, there are still non-smart options that can be way more affordable. They did it to themselves. But it's funny to think Nancy Pelosi will get ads on her fridge when she goes to get her expensive ice cream.
i thought that sounded reasonable for a fridge but like shit you can get a big ass fridge for like 500-600 dollars, there's a 7.5 cubic foot fridge at walmart for like, 220 r/n
what the fuck does this fridge do, jerk you off? while showing you an ad
buy commerical grade appliances. stuff that is used in quantity by institutions. washers, driers, commercial fridge and tv monitors
there are still plentiful repair parts, the user has more control over features, they are built simply (and can be customized) and with tv monitors often built with fans and more robust LEDs
I saw a professional dishwasher once, that thing looked and felt like a tank. If I had money I'd buy one.
professional even better. i'm talking just "commercial grade" which is less professional and more simple, no frills, designed to be bought in lots of 20 for hotels, apartments, institutions, etc.
commercial grade stuff often costs less then consumer appliances, just harder to get a hold of.
I figured they're the same thing, it definitely looked commercial. I guess not?
I avoid "Smart" appliances like the plague. They're more expensive and prone to ads and are generally worse at their jobs. Go for a Chinese or Japanese brand instead that specialises in that technology.
I have a Samsung fridge. I would happily let it show me ads if it were able to make ice, instead of what it normally does which is grind, click, spit out one cube, and then get jammed up.
Edit: Anyone who buys a fridge with a screen deserves to have this happen https://youtu.be/BnKpNVHw-TQ
Huge life hack: Never buy through the door fridges. Ice through the door is a terrible idea with the secondary frozen compartment having to be nested within the refrigerated compartment but also exposed to ambient temperature. Water through the door is an ideal breeding ground for mold.
Ice belongs in the freezer and water dispensers inside the fridge are more sanitary.

fun fact: fixing an old broken fridge is (usually) very easy, I truly believe anyone with a few hours to spend on a weekend can do it.
Video?
This one seems good, nine times out of ten a fridge that isn't working just needs the compressor relay replaced or even just cleaned.
Or, if it's a Samsung, it merely needs a complete redesign from the ground up.

The specifics of refrigeration can be complex, but household fridges are extremely simple. It's a motor and a long bendy circular pipe with a liquid that can easily turn to gas. That's it.
That's what you get for buying a Samsung fridge, that's all on you. When I was buying my home appliances Samsung was consistently the least recommended and lowest rated. When I moved into my current home it came with all Samsung appliances so I ripped them all out and swapped them into my old house so I could keep the set of quality appliances I already had.
It's been some years since I've considered them while shopping but their sales pitch was advanced features on a budget price. Not all of their appliances are cheap but compared to other brands with similar features they would be at least hundreds of dollars cheaper. Very mixed reviews.
Some people would complain about noise, but a lot of times the advanced features you were saving money on became extra points of failure to worry about. The stuff breaks because it's cheaper made and when you need service their North American repair and maintenance infrastructure was lacking. They really seemed to want to push you towards "fixing" your appliances by buying a new one.
The real nightmare though is if they start putting ads on the budget models and home builders and flippers start installing them for you to move into. Or worse yet if they start incentivizing landlords or public housing to install them. Imagine them trying to partial fund Section 8 housing by requiring these in every unit playing ads
