4. Stay on-topic; no memes, funny videos, giveaways, reposts, or low-effort posts
This community is mostly for discussion and news. Remember to search for the thing you're submitting before posting to see if it's already been posted.
We want to keep the quality of posts high. Therefore, memes, funny videos, low-effort posts and reposts are not allowed. We prohibit giveaways because we cannot be sure that the person holding the giveaway will actually do what they promise.
5. Mark Spoilers and NSFW
Make sure to mark your stuff or it may be removed.
No one wants to be spoiled. Therefore, always mark spoilers. Similarly mark NSFW, in case anyone is browsing in a public space or at work.
6. No linking to piracy
Don't share it here, there are other places to find it. Discussion of piracy is fine.
We don't want us moderators or the admins of lemmy.world to get in trouble for linking to piracy. Therefore, any link to piracy will be removed. Discussion of it is of course allowed.

i promise, once it’s over you’ll find out about all announcements you care about in other ways
Putting it on while doing something is fine
You don't need to tell people what to watch
Yeah but while it ain't for me at all (I prefer written news), I know a lot of people do enjoy this format.
Watching new trailers is fun.
I don't understand why people have issues with shows like this, it's not like ads on annoying news websites, people want to watch them, I'm not watching but I think it's quite exciting waiting for a trailer you want to see (silksong for example) compared to seeing it in a news article afterwards.
Screw that—that 30 minute premiere for Kirby Air Riders was pure bliss. If it’s a game I love, I want all the detes I can get.
This is the same fanbase that dropped $500 for a slightly better Nintendo Switch, there's no reasoning with them.
This is a company that will sue you if you even watch this press release incorrectly, but they're still coming at the bit
Did Nintendo directs used to be better? Was it iwatas touch? Am I just nostalgic?
nintendo directs were always advertisements, it’s kinda their goal: to advertise to you upcoming nintendo products

I'm hoping for new Zelda or Mario news. Very excited.
Seems too soon to be announcing a 3D Mario or Zelda for holiday release, but I could see them announcing something for spring release in hopes of boosting holiday sales.
Tbh I think TOTK and BOTW have enough legs, especially with the Switch 2 releases, and I suspect the next Zelda will take some time because it'll be a much different installment than the last two. But goddamn if I'm not ready for a new 3D Mario.
Wasn't a lot of the usual names from the 3d mario studio's last game (dk) missing from the credits? I heard someone say it's probably because they were working on a 3d mario in parallel... hopefully
I'm ready for any news regarding anything Mario or Zelda, no matter the release date. 😊

Same! Xeno 2 needs some love given how it suffered a bit from lack of resources and time to tune it when it released. And X needs that performance patch.
All of them could do with native res and 60 fps, I hope that‘s not something that needs serious engineering power…
I just want more farming sims.
