I don’t want the process of writing itself to lead to widespread brain connectivity—I want it to distract me as little as possible so my brain is free to engage in other brain-connectivity-enhancing activities while I’m writing.

The more you have to focus on the mechanical process of writing, the less you can focus on what you’re writing about.

Is Frontiers considered predatory or not? Some people give me a lot of shit for citing frontiers and mdpi. But in my defense those articles were already well cited. But in a overall sense I have noticed that most articles from both those groups look poorly written.

Predatory, but sometimes there is something interesting. MDPI is worse afaik.
