I think all the US can do is get left behind while the rest of the world moves on to alternative energy sources.

There's a handful of geriatrics with no future burning things down to finance their comfortable senescence. They're not immune to the fun new diseases and unrest spawned by their greed, no matter how much they like to think they are.
