I never installed the arch, but can't you like set the repository to the date the script was known to work and just lock it there ?
It worked just fine for me the other week. I did have issues with partitioning when I first used it like half a year ago

It's there for every time after the first. My first two I did manually. Excellent learning experience, very glad to do it. I'm old and lazy now.

Last time I reinstalled it was before it being there... It's been so long.
I'm new enough that I've never done it manually. Never had a problem with it.
