"increase car power" the same way landlords "offer housing". They just intentionally make the car worse unless you pay them to stop. Capitalist innovation at its best

I tell you hwut though Im glad they're promoting this, it's good to know VW cars aren't even worth looking at
Cant wait for the battlepass
you wouldn't jailbreak a car
Why? I do not want a fucking subscription for my car 🫠
Isn't there someone you forgot to ask
Just like other every day tech, if I can't hack it I won't buy it.
CaaS
Great, another fucking thing to update every 3 months because it keeps bricking cars
I can imagine they would start throttling your battery charging speed unless you cough up for a monthly Gold Charge Pass
good. i hope owning a car gets more and more miserable until no one wants one anymore. death to cars
Literally taken from Asphalt (mobile gacha racing game)
649 for a lifetime subscription, so it's basically an addon you can finance in a weird predatory-ish way
🤡🤮
I will always shit on vw, because they sold me a car that automatically sheared its cams randomly. They recalled and "fixed" it. Driving home, the car decided to shear its cams within 20 mins on a highway and I had to limp it without power braking to a safe spot. Luckily I was a young guy who could work the brake properly. If I had been elderly, weaker legged, etc, I probably would have crashed it, because again, it lost all power braking at highway speeds.
Honestly, one of the few "new" cars (as in made <5 years) that I've heard have such a huge mechanical failure. Looking back its almost comical. How the fuck do you design a car that kills its own engine in normal operation and not decide "yeah we should fix this next year so we don't have to keep RMA'ing this shit". Further proof that if the CEO isn't thinking like an actual engineer, they aren't worth shit.
Guy straight face said it wasn't a lemon. It had been an issue for like 5 model years. Wouldn't be shocked if it still was 10 years later. I got a vw because family was always like "oh german engineering is soooo good don't buy ." Ended up getting rid of it because I was worried it would just shear itself again and kill me. I was lucky enough to be able to afford to get rid of it. Sucks too because I liked it overall.
Funnily, the new car would fry some chip randomly. It atleast would still work. It was also a known issue, I told the guy "I think its this issue", and it took them like 3 further visits to be like "oh it was that issue, we replaced it in 15 minutes, haha". Honestly shocked that cars aren't just randomly falling apart like a fuckin' Marx brothers comedy.
Once people started shitting on VW over the emissions shit they did ~2 years after my cam incident, I felt so justified in wanting (but not doing) to drive that piece of shit into the dealership. I'll never forget telling one dealer "your car almost killed me" and him saying smugly "well, it didn't". All car manufacters/dealers suck ass, but there is always a special place in hell for any that knowingly sell cars that actively kill themselves/you.
Had friend with an R20 that chose to add another inspection port randomly. I’m not gonna say my friend was smart with his purchase nor am I going to say he did all the required maintenance but I feel like a different vehicle wouldn’t have exploded the same way
I remember back in like 2001, there was a 1.8T that would develop sludge even if you followed the factory maintenance schedule.
Lmao why is the nazi car company not fucking dissolved by now? Can you also pay to disable emissions testing?
Can I get the 42069 blaze it car skin as part of that subscription?
Dead easy. Don't buy or lease VW. Too big and now too shitty
