Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.

Rules:

-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --

-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --

-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --

-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today/ . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --

-- Mass tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken markov chain bot will result in a comm ban--

-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--

-- Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned. --

-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --

Got curious how they managed this. I hadn't looked into pal action much, but it turns out there's a dude named Fergie Chambers who is rich af (like 100s of millions) in the background paying legal fees and such.

I'm so torn between admiring him and being disappointed that he's not doing more to build a vanguard (but maybe he is idk). Either way, being that wealthy and not being a capitalist piece of shit about it is impressive.

Edit: y'all think he'd pay my rent if I do agitprop full-time?

He considers himself to be using those funds to build the vanguard, for what that's worth. He has a long history of direct action and using his finances to help the cause.

Fergie Chambers

Fergie is sus af. He gave some money to CLN (the org I have been a part of) and my comrade Sungmanitu had a falling out with him and he has done some very very shady shit. Possible fed, definitely dipshit with more money than sense and some sort of white savior complex.

I think it's important to make use of it while it's available but still be critical/suspicious. In the meantime, Pal Action is making some real wins. I am sorry to hear about the pain and hardship he has caused your comrades and organization. For radical movements to really be sustainable, they need to be member funded and independent of these fickle streams of support which can be turned off at a whim.

Not sure why I let myself be hopeful about a rich person

You're... Part of a 1940s Italian anti fascist league?

Provisional? Are we going to start having Official Pal Action and Real Pal Action too?

i couldn't quickly ascertain whether it's correctly to call them pal action usa or unity of fields or whether it's safer to call them something else, so i kinda memed on a name a bit finkelstein-lambaste

(i like sound of word "provos" mainly)

this owns, and the fact people got off without charge is fucking amazing, especially for ameriKKKa

ah, calla/pal action usa are relatively small news-wise, chuds don't know until provided target, pal action uk was also lowkey for a long time
