New one looks like a black velvet painting.
Wow. They made him look like a real human being, but Somehow Palpatine Returned!
The second one looks like an English bulldog with jaundice preparing to tell a spooky story around a campfire.

Someone else got it right before me: he doesn't like the standard "stately" pose in the first one. It makes him look too friendly and weak.
He likes the forward hunch and disdainful glare. It's sinister. He likes being perceived that way. Many egomaniacal dictators liked being perceived that way.
Even Hitler in that photo doesn't look nearly as sinister as Trump in his new portrait.
Specifically, it's fairly obviously patterned after Mussolini, who was ALWAYS portrayed this way and is one of Trump's "inspirations".
The new one looks like they took Tom Selleck, spray tanned him yellow and and shaved his mustache
The first one looks like a young William Shatner dressed up as Trump for Halloween, the second one looks like John Bolton dressed up as Trump for Halloween.
The new picture is going to make Liz Lemon the next Secretary of State.
Fascinating that that’s how he sees himself.
Not the headline with the words "Trump" and "hangs" that I was hoping for.

The first one actually made him look thinner and healthier. The new one looks like a sundried orange that got popped in the deep fryer. Deep-fried memes are easier on the eyes.
