Regrettably, even when they stunt for the cameras like this, indeed, ACAB.

not regrettably. fuck the police. i hope every single ice agent-traitor gets dragged out and shot under order of a legitimate court of justice one day on live tv. i would have the most massive, raging, & patriotic erection and stroke it to each and every hallowed shriek of lead.

on that note, just in general; i hate people’s habit of self censoring, even as a joke. “oh no don’t say that you’ll get put on a list”… so???? come and get me? what? thoughts are crimes now too and you’re gonna self police it? pussy shit of the highest degree.

hopefully y'all are anarchists, because I am and I don't see why there's seemingly so much opposition to "all states are bad" even here when there's so many supporters of "all cops are bad"

ACAB means ACAB.

This is a publicity stunt.

And you know why the picture only contains white people.

This is such a conflicting story.

On one hand, this is how it should be: incentivizing safe behavior.

On the other hand, this is absolutely for publicity and secularly abusing children to try and repair the irreparable damage they've done to their own image.

Remember: if the law isn't on your side, neither are the cops.

Even if the law is on your side, the cops aren't.

One town I lived in had a promotion where police would pull people over to give them some gift certificate for good driving.

I want to be positive, but I kinda see it as a excuse for more police contacts.. if you don't pull over for the lights and sirens for your "gift card" is it now evading arrest?

We'd have a better world if we rewarded good behavior vs punishing bad imho

This isn't uplifting. Cops doing PR, borderline indoctrination is not uplifting at all. I've taught my kid not to talk to police, don't run from them, but try to avoid them unless they're specifically calling to you, if you do talk to them, do it with respect, even if you don't mean it. This was after a cop pulled him and his friends off to the side to give em pokemon cards. Cheap asses gave em those party packs with 4 ultra common cards in them. Not a single 1st edition Charizard or anything. Shame.

What a miserable bunch here

[–] fodor@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

What, the pigs? Yeah, we know. That's why they beat their spouses and children in record numbers. That's why they break the law and violate people's civil rights on a daily basis, while lying more often than a used car salesperson. The pigs really are that bad.

And if you don't believe me, ask who's paying the cops. Are those cops on the clock? Are they getting money for that program from tax dollars? Are they using police cruisers that we all paid for? Yeah, of course they are, of course they are leaching off of us to try to make themselves look good.

love that they're encouraging kids to trust cops 🙃

Yeah, that feels like a fresh breath of air

And so all the kids are safe from being crushed by SUVs. No need for bike lanes. No need for traffic reduction. No need to ticket drivers not yielding to pedestrians or passing cyclists dangerously. No need to remove parking. No need to reduce the size or speed of cars. And turning right on red is a god given right.

Helmets are all that is needed to be safe in the streets! That and obeying the law.

I guess I get the intent. It's better than nothing. But it's also pretty depressing when you see beyond the attempt at fake security.

Indoctrinate the kids into obeying authority.

Cranford is a town in the US, for everybody else.
