I just visited Nashville for the first time in February and visited this thing. Was strange.
it's super weird.
I was there a couple years before. I expected with all the limestone it would.. well.. it would be limestone.

This building is no more than an imitation of the original.
This was allegedly "designed" by an American Confederate architect. No motherfucker it was designed by Ictinus and Callicrates.

This place actually kinda kicks ass if you're there. It's a strange project to have taken on, but it seems to have been done sincerely.
The botanical gardens nearby are also nice.
Is that screen over the lower figures? To keep bird off, I'm guessing.
