It's just a question don't get all up in my face this time. Personally I think Islam is underrated. They clearly take that shit more seriously than Whitoids take Christianity. Mexican Catholics or Shias who do we rank up top?

I don't really care what color a sock puppet is in order to determine the amount of support I have for its military conflicts.

Iran is just a vessel for another, more powerful and influential country's foreign policy and you know this is true. Do I really have to mention it?

I'm not going to be mean to you, but I am going to be straight. People who have half a brain know what you are doing and we don't appreciate being manipulated. Your entry point's propaganda machine, while impressive, only strengthens the notion of how dishonest and toxic you are willing to get in order to turn our people against each other.

Please stop.

You may actually believe you are on the right side of history. If this is the case, I feel bad for you. There is no right side of history. There are no good guys. There is no moral authority. There are only outcomes.

What kind of outcome would you expect from an actual direct confrontation between the two current contenders to the throne? Keep peddling these kinds of messages all around the internet and this is the outcome we will both find.

I don't want this outcome and I'd expect you to understand it is undesirable as well.

Not based on trusting me lol. Imagine if the DPRK waited to start their nuclear program. There would be this song and dance about them being a threat to the entire world. Thankfully, they didn't act bashful about it like Iran, and their nukes keep them safe. One less conflict in the global periphery, for now that is!

If iran got its nukes it wouldn't be conflict, but economic blockade. If you managed a functional economy after that, you would be culture bombed into revolution. Block that? Congratulations, you are also now a different flavor of DPRK.

Don't you get it? A slave with a knife is still a slave. Until you can wield as much power on every battlefield your people will remain slaves, The only difference is if they are worse or better off.

Now be a good slave and put the knife down or else your ration will get cut and we're all gonna get whipped because of you.

From the various sects? You're to be here a long time, my friend. I think a lot of westerners will be surprised, myself included, from the much I never knew, to that I knew and forgot, because what I remember certainly surprised me at the time I learned. I'm of the opinion a fresh post with the basics and some nuances would be very enlightening. I forgot the word some Iberian Peninsula muslims use when they don't kill a sworn enemy when that very enemy seeks their protection, but I think a lot of westerners would be surprised by that as well.

Eh, it can get bad sometimes but it has its moments. I'm actually grateful for the bad times when I experience clarity. They allow me to introspect, reevaluate and grow.

I genuinely hope you find what you need, but not what you're looking for, of course.

You're all good with me, just joking around. Take care of yourself. The confusion is expected, Westerners have been taught to deal with the world through abstractions. If you want to be critical of other countries it's especially important to be detailed. People have no cultural or political understanding of Iran. Instead of looking at the rules they follow, people will write entire articles speculating about their decisions first. Because if they tried to understand, they wouldn't have their fancy journalism job... come back anytime for more homespun thug wisdom

To answer your question while ignoring your dishonesty, bias and ulterior motives:

I would be exactly the same level of annoyed. I have a distrust for any government especially when they play war or when they threaten others.

That said, some governments have proven to be more straightforward and predictable than others, and I definitely prefer those. That doesn't mean I'm gonna fall in love with one soon, these things only lead to authorianism and I think we can agree between Hitler and Mussolini that's not an aspiring state to live in.

I would love to have a nuanced conversation, because as someone from Europe, I do have a very nuanced view on all of this and I feel bad for the civilians who get caught in the crossfire of these conflicts, but unfortunately you are basically killing any platform where these nuanced conversations are possible when you're trying to strengthen your position by using rhetorical questions.

There's no winners in discussions, and they are only productive if everyone is there to speak, listen, and learn. And that way I can understand why the hell you are doing what you're doing and maybe respect you a bit, while you understand the same about and stop trying to "catch" other people in something. Because that's not what these communities are for and you are being an asshole.

Clearly we need to level about the basics. You said Iran is threatening other countries. The nations of the world not allied with the US are disappointed Iran didn't finish the job. They responded to being attacked flagrantly in violation of international law. All of Iran's actions were legal.

My question is should we obey religious law, international law, or should we pragmatically eliminate the sources of suffering in our world with what time we have left? Thank goodness that people like you will call yourselves Eurasian within 50 years and we will be less troubled by these questions

Maybe. Chaos births order births chaos ♾️. Regardless of what that users intentions are, I feel people who wish to learn and grow will, those who view everything as a zero sun game may look like "winning," for a time, but are the biggest losers, ultimately, notwithstanding awards, accolades, and resources they manage to hoard, until they pass away.

That's not excusing them from hoarding, and gleefully creating suffering or amusement in their wake. Just a footnote to say if you're inclined to make informative posts, those who are teachable will learn (and also maybe ask annoying questions).

I think that if the lemmy.world people want to wall themselves off and take over their digital fiefdom it will make people take the artificial public opinion less seriously, the way most older lemmy users outgrew reddit. It seems like something they do to reassure themselves. Then again, this network & Mastodon etc are well-known to intelligence contractors. If they had no presence posting + voting here they wouldn't be doing their jobs.

This kind of offbeat FOSS social media stuff can't replace the major social media monopolies anyways, it serves a different purpose. People just need a backup and evasion from the US finance-tech-military cartel. If you try and put the screws on people who came to you looking for a better option, they'll just flee. Nothing that can be done about the propaganda and advertising though & I reckon it is a bigger issue than the petty harassment and powermodding, which is mostly just deranged roleplaying

Disclaimer: large majority of Iran is secular. They still share these values to some extent. Perhaps the libs are out baying for blood, I may not have seen it. There was a lot to keep up with a week ago.
