[pink, sitting on the floor, hunched, looking sad] Chronic depression is ruining my life, I barely have a will to live left, anyway I must go to this social gathering so let's get up and go I guess

[green, holding their head, looking distraught] I am literally on the verge of death, both physically and psychologically, anyway, let's head to a social gathering

Some time ago, I thought "fuck courtesies" and began to answer with how I really feel. It's now one of my (sadistic) little pleasures to see the uneasy face of someone that just received "oh, I feel like a ton of shit *fake smile*" as a reply. And it's just adorable when someone cares enough to genuinely ask what's going on. You find who you can count on if things really go south.

I'm usually honest but brief.

"Hey, how are you?"

"Tired. You?"

Or:

"Hey, how's it going?"

"Ha ha. Ha... ha. grimace It's going. You?"

"Yeah, about the same."
