We got what looks like Japanese writing, but also something about hate crimes against Blackfeet Indians, but also what looks like a Taiwanese and Israeli flag, on what looks to be a long house somewhere in the Northwest?

Pneuma pestilence? What?

This is the median voter from Buffalo in his mind.

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 15 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Our extensive "I & D" focus groups and comprehensive polling have shown us the way forward. For every vote we lose in the city - we will get two votes in "incoherent and dangerous" hamlets.

A real upgrade from the "covering my car in incomprehensible conspiracy theory signs" voting bloc.

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 6 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

That demo is problematic because they move around a lot. The dems are always paranoid about the GOP saying they are encouraging people to commit voter fraud.

These people exclusively vote through telepathy.

idk i feel like trying to understand this would lead to some king in yellow type shit, like analyzing this is self harm

[–] Acute_Engles@hexbear.net 24 points 3 weeks ago

we get plenty of ALL MY POLITICAL OPINIONS WRITTEN ON MY TRUCK/HOUSE types up here but something about this one feels so american i want to go there like it's a museum

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 14 points 3 weeks ago

That's not an Israeli flag, the Israeli flag's blue stripes are thinner and have white on the edges.

The Hangul on the right (토리 to-ri) is the Korean reading of the individual Chinese characters on the left (土里), but as far as I know it's not an actual word or phrase in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean. The two characters mean soil (and by extension, land/territory) and village, respectively.

edit: If anyone's wondering, I did also search for the characters/syllables reversed, since traditionally horizontal writing was interpreted as single character columns and read right-to-left. Judging by the quality of the calligraphy, though, I kind of doubt they would have known about that.

Looks more like an Argentinian and old Burmese flag to me.

[–] Redcuban1959@hexbear.net 10 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

The blue is too dark to be the Argentinian flag. Could be the old Argentine Confederation flag or El Salvadoran flag (or the Pre-2020s Honduras flag, it could also be the Nicaragua flag).

[–] HarryLime@hexbear.net 10 points 3 weeks ago

Well, it's also too dark to be an Israeli flag anyway

So this guy is a Korean Argentinian and Burmese nationalist who hates Obamacare?

Japanese writing

Just under he triangle of the roof is probably: Chinese characters (in Chinese or Japanese) on the left & [I dunno] on the right.

My very wild guess for the right is it's Korean that's not quite right. Or maybe it's fine and I'm wrong.

---

Am I crazy or is the portrait of the guy to the left the Chinese characters the logo of a rolling paper brand.

---

Ninja edit 1

I think a way to solve what we're looking at is to see if you can find the "E\S" thing. My wild hunch is that it's the logo or mark or whatever for the cult or whatever it is.

OBAMACARE

...is there too. But under that is illegible.

Ninja edit 2

OBAMACARE
is socialism

I made an edit. Imagining "is socialism" under "OBAMACARE" is no great insight. What else could it be???

[–] Kumikommunism@hexbear.net 2 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

It's not Japanese. And I'm pretty sure the two characters on the right are Korean.

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

There's more in the comments.

[–] Kumikommunism@hexbear.net 1 points 3 weeks ago

Did you mean to reply to someone else? I don't know what you mean.

[–] KuroXppi@hexbear.net 10 points 3 weeks ago

Look at the two piggies kissing tho, I can get behind that

[–] FlakesBongler@hexbear.net 10 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I know a quaker gun is a fake gun

Usually a log or something you paint up to look real

So that first sign is basically saying that it's better to scare a bad neighbor out of the trailer park than to kill them

[–] invalidusernamelol@hexbear.net 10 points 3 weeks ago

Yeah, seems like it's a more normal kinda crazy

Yes but also on the red building in the background there is hanzi and hangul. Also some script in the black circle I can't make out.

[–] Bartsbigbugbag@lemmy.ml 2 points 3 weeks ago

Oh you’re right, I didn’t catch that, good looking out

[–] Redcuban1959@hexbear.net 6 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)
