Israel just carried out a widespread bombing of Iran, which has killed a number of senior officials inside Iran (though it seems the leadership is more-or-less intact) as well as a number of civilians. Important facilities have been targeted, but the amount of damage is unknown so far (note that many important Iranian facilities are deep underground, making them both hard to damage but also hard to determine if they are damaged from just satellite imagery, so reports of damage will be he-said-she-said).

It appears the attack took Iran by surprise, given that a residential block was targeted that contained some senior officials - if one saw an attack coming, one would imagine they'd be in bunkers. Nonetheless, like the rest of the Resistance Axis, I suspect that Iran has adapted their military structures to be resistant to decapitation strikes by ensuring that replacement figures are ready to take the place of killed officials.

Iran has delivered a massive missile barrage in response to Israeli aggression, even though Israel is continuing to bomb Iran. Iran is now aware of the location of many important Israeli sites, including secret nuclear sites, due to their recent intelligence haul, giving them a distinct edge.

Israel-Palestine Conflict

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Sources on the fighting in Palestine against Israel. In general, CW for footage of battles, explosions, dead people, and so on:

UNRWA reports on Israel's destruction and siege of Gaza and the West Bank.

Russia-Ukraine Conflict

Examples of Ukrainian Nazis and fascists
Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Sources:

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.
Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.
Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
Simplicius, who publishes on Substack. Like others, his political analysis should be soundly ignored, but his knowledge of weaponry and military strategy is generally quite good.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Pro-Russian Telegram Channels:

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.
https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.
https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster's telegram channel.
https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.
https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.
https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.
https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.
https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

Pro-Ukraine Telegram Channels:

Almost every Western media outlet.

Numerous Malaysian civil society organizations announce a '1,000 Ship Freedom Flotilla" to break the siege on Gaza. Power to them launching now as military tensions escalate and eyes are falling off Gaza.

Anti-missile defense platforms reportedly hit. It really does feel like Israel bit off more than it could chew here. Power off across most of Haifa

Iranian security forces continued their important counter-sabotage and counter-terrorism work today.

Iranian security forces discovered a three-story building in Rey (south of Tehran) filled with Zionist drones and explosives: https://news-pravda.com/world/2025/06/15/1433457.html

They intercepted another truck filled with Zionist drones in Tehran’s Tohid Tunnel (I believe this is either the third or fourth such detained ‘drone truck’): https://news-pravda.com/world/2025/06/15/1433274.html

They also arrested another Mossad-linked truck driver in Tehran: https://news-pravda.com/world/2025/06/15/1433563.html

Interesting, a retired US Army officer has called for all US troops to be withdrawn from Syria and Iraq:

"The time has come to withdraw all American troops from Syria and Iraq. They will become easy prey if Iran decides to attack our troops. Do you need proof? Look at how these Iranian missiles can penetrate Israel's Iron Dome without interference; most of our troops have even less missile defense.

The same thing will happen to our troops, if they are attacked, they will be ruthlessly hit. It's time to bring them all out, because they don't perform any national security functions for our country, but they are a huge security vulnerability. We should never put the lives of our soldiers at senseless risk and ask them to die without defending our country or interests. This is a blatant, shameless and senseless sacrifice of their lives."

I'm starting to think these "retired army officer" articles are basically just done so the US can pretend they weren't just putting out obvious bait so they have an excuse to escalate.

Don't know if this is what we see in this particular (very fresh) video, but I've seen a lot of videos of Iranian missiles shrug off multiple hits from Israeli interceptors and still hit their target.

After alerting about incoming Iranian missiles, the Israeli military warned residents not to share the locations or footage of any strikes. “The enemy monitors this footage to improve its impact capabilities,” it said. “Be responsible!”

Could These Be Pete Hegseth’s Last Days in the Pentagon?

JUNE 13, 2025

“Pete is playing secretary,” a source says. “He’s not being secretary.” In crisis — an unplanned evacuation, Israel bombing Iran, China moving on Taiwan — there will be no one with experience to lead. “For any sustained operations, we’re screwed. There’s nobody in the SecDef’s office at this point that has any they’re not heavyweights. They don’t have the sophistication. They don’t have the experience.”

[...]

Hegseth still does not have a chief of staff or a deputy chief of staff; according to new leaks, the department is having trouble hiring anyone with relevant experience.

People on Bluesky kept recommending it to each other so I read it. It's ~7,500 words and I sort of liked it. It's filled with Pentagon palace intrigue but it had a lot for filler for my taste. The text could been half as long.

No hostile fighter jets have entered Iranian airspace since Saturday, military sources confirm. Israel enjoyed a short window of 'operational freedom' in Iran after the initial paralysis of AD, but have not entered Iran's borders since. This is also proven by the total lack of jet footage, and the fact that all of the AD activations are light air defenses (like ZSU style pea shooters).

Although, some airstrikes are still being carried out from Iraqi airspace. Israel's main bet was on internal chaos immediately following the opening blow, which did not happen, despite a massive network of internal collaborators that was prepared for years by the Mossad. The Israeli operation, at least the 'planned' phase, has come to an end, and they now have to adapt and improvise.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but what does pissrael's choice not to nuke / try to nuke Iran in the midst of all this say about the efficacy of nuclear deterrence, if it says anything?
