My son (5) had a stack of 3 pancakes and asked for more. So I started to add pancakes to his plate. He yells out to me "I said just one!" (He did not say that before but this is his usual attitude...) We had just enough batter to make a tiny pancake in the last set, so I put this tiny little thing on his plate and said okay, here is just one.

He was not amused. But I was!

For mental image, the pancakes are about 3 inch in diameter, the one I gave my son was about the size of a silver dollar.
