Zelensky is certainly playing a long game and hopefully winning strategy by working closely with several nations in Africa.

With news of China investing directly into Sub-Saharan nations and South Africa, as well as military bases in Gabon and Djibouti, and developing telecoms and satellite coverage across the continent.

It's unfortunate, but we're approaching a crossroads that might either weaken the UN and the allies or strengthen it.

The political landscape in South Africa is moving. The ANC's power is fading and so a more west friendly government will take over.

Not sure what Zelensky hopes to get in South Africa. South Africa no longer has an arms industry. Maybe it's looking to setup deals with South African mining companies to invest in Ukraine post war.
