The 20-year-old son of a Leon County sheriff's deputy used his mother's gun to go on a shooting rampage on Florida State University's Tallahassee campus Thursday, killing two people and wounding six others, law enforcement officials said. The alleged shooter was himself shot and taken to a local hospital. The surviving victims were listed in fair condition.

A suspect is in custody and there are reports of multiple victims after a shooting at Florida State University on Thursday.

Orlando's WFTV is reporting via local law enforcement that five people are dead and four others are injured. The station is also reporting that there were two shooters with one in custody and another dead.

Honestly ive been nervous about this issue since im planning to go to college soon. Im definitely gonna be taking precations. Always parking close by, have emergency first aid stuff in my trunk, and memorizing escape routes to my car or to a good hiding spot from all my classes.

Good things to know. I don't know if there are any in your area but first aid classes would be a good thing to do. You'll probably learn other useful stuff like CPR or caring for someone having a seizure etc. so the skills are always relevant.
