Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.

Rules:

-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --

-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --

-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --

-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today/ . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --

-- Mass tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken markov chain bot will result in a comm ban--

-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--

-- Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned. --

-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --

I don't want to read the article but I have to wonder what the GOP justices definition of "help" is.

i was going to say that i was surprised that they didn't side with trump until i saw that they used "facilitate" for this poor guy's return rather than ordering his return.

I was looking at the replies to a post by Law Dork on Bluesky. Even now - a lot of liberals are clueless how the GOP justices standard operating procedure. Some of them actually said they were (very) releaved. The libs can't understand that GOP justices care how things look but they won't budge on the the effective result. I could be all wrong but I'd bet money Abrego Garcia is going to spend the rest of his life in that El Salvadorian hell hole.

I only quickly scan Law Dork's posts. They are tedious legal bullshit. But the comments can be great. That's where the good stuff is. Example...

I'm tearing up right now. I cannot believe our standards for them are so low that I'm shocked they did this.

i think we're cooked because no one looks beyond the headline and i wish i could say that i do, but i know that i fail more often than succeed at doing so.

no one looks beyond the headline

Trump uses that all the time. The "90 day pause" is wrongly repeated 100,000 times by the media in headlines and on tv when it's not that. It's a pause on the country-specific tariffs that Trump lied about and called "reciprocal". And - of course - the media also wrongly repeated "reciprocal tariffs" 100,000 times. It's all awful.

I think a large percentage of the population does not know that the 10% tariffs continue as does the one on China for 100+% - whatever the number is.
