Good meme but had to downvote because this has nothing to do with the fediverse.

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 6 points 2 hours ago

Canada annexed that too

[–] stebo02@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

forgot to replace "North America" with "North Canada"

[–] AeonFelis@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

"North America" is the name of the continent. It can stay.

[–] stebo02@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 49 minutes ago

No it's North Canada and South Canada now. Europe is Overseas Canada.

I'm American, and I accept this message.

[–] henfredemars@infosec.pub 10 points 6 hours ago

I for one welcome our new Canadian overlords. It would be a marked improvement over what we have today.

[–] catloaf@lemm.ee 47 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

What has this got to do with the fediverse?

[–] Empricorn@feddit.nl 63 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

Actually, it's now called the Canaderse.

[–] CompN12@lemmy.frozeninferno.xyz 6 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Wait that looks off why can't it be Canadar- oh nvm.

[–] archonet@lemy.lol 1 points 1 hour ago

I believe Quebec already lays claim to that title.

[–] HowAbt2morrow 7 points 7 hours ago

Here in Nicanadagua we believe it has everything to do with the Canadaverse.

[–] _stranger_@lemmy.world 6 points 6 hours ago

Canuxico was right there.

[–] vivavideri@lemmy.world 6 points 6 hours ago

I am SO DOWN. Let's go. Let's do it.

[–] fitgse@sh.itjust.works 8 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Is this a common map projection for Canadian maps? I’m so used to the Mercator Projection this just naturally felt “off” to me.

[–] doughless@lemmy.world 6 points 6 hours ago

This just looks like a standard orthographic projection with Canada near the center.

Please ask the Greenlanders nicely first. For a life time supply of marple sirup they might even agree to join you 😅

[–] otto@sh.itjust.works 11 points 8 hours ago

I need healthcare,so ok

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 15 points 9 hours ago

American here.......I'm good with being south Canada, as long as we have whomever your government is. And healthcare, and whatever.

[–] Pothetato@lemmy.world 4 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

You missed Canexicoda. And the Cancific ocean. And the Catlantic.

[–] GuardYaGrill@sh.itjust.works 5 points 7 hours ago

The Caindian ocean is a old time classic.

[–] Grandwolf319@sh.itjust.works 10 points 9 hours ago

Not gonna lie, Canada Canal sounds dope

[–] Blue_Morpho@lemmy.world 5 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

It would be a great troll for Trudeau to require Google and Apple to name America 'South Canada' on their maps.

[–] Pothetato@lemmy.world 4 points 7 hours ago

Let the Google maps wars begin!

[–] RedditWanderer@lemmy.world 4 points 7 hours ago

I think leaving gulf of mexico is ok

[–] eran_morad@lemmy.world 6 points 9 hours ago

[–] RonnieB@lemmy.world 4 points 8 hours ago

In the west part of Canada, born and raised making maple syrup is how I spent most of my days

[–] Gullible@sh.itjust.works 4 points 8 hours ago

Can’t wait to vacation in cape Canadarel

[–] TeamAssimilation@infosec.pub 1 points 6 hours ago

Might as well go all in and call the Gulf of California “Armpit of Canada”.

[–] drathvedro@lemm.ee 2 points 7 hours ago

This is a little wrong. East canada is actually north canada, while the real east canada is sticking out in the topleft corner. Please do invade it, I beg you 🥺 🙏

[–] _NetNomad@fedia.io 4 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

there's no one easy fix to the rancid sociopolitical climate in the US but a Tim Hortons on every corner would certainly go a long way

Listen I would love to join Canada, but Dunkin over Tim Horton's and I will die on this hill.

[–] BroBot9000@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

Tim Hortons is American owned.

[–] wander1236@sh.itjust.works 6 points 8 hours ago

According to Wikipedia, Burger King and Tim Hortons merged to make Restaurant Brands International, which is headquartered in Toronto, alongside Tim Hortons. Burger King kept their own HQ in the US.

If anything, that makes Burger King Canadian.

[–] smuuthbrane@sh.itjust.works 6 points 9 hours ago

You mean Tim Hortons is South Canada owned.

[–] holdstrong@lemm.ee 2 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago)

Leave Greenland and Panama out of it

We aren’t them 😤

[–] HubertManne@moist.catsweat.com 2 points 8 hours ago

I wouldn't fight this.

[–] Tanoh@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago

Missed to change the legend to "North Canada" or just simply "Canada"
