Who? Do you mean Detective Raphaël Ambrosius Costeau?

Goddamn I love Girl Genius, easily one of my favorite web comics of all time (and I'm sad my library doesn't have much past "season" 1 in print).

Spite is an underrated source of motivation.

Drugs help.

By doing absolutely bare minimum for the actual job and spending the rest of the time on my own interests and hobies in the workshop that might og might not benefit the projects. I'm the only one capable of the highly specialized and technical challenges in our project so they can't and won't fire me, but I'm probably leaving soon anyway because I'm not paid enough to do anything more than bare minimum at the moment. Also drugs help. Helps a lot to not get anxiety about it.

I love that recognizable Foglio style. MTG lost a lot of soul when they homogenized and codified their digital art standards.

Damn straight. Rabid Wombat will always have a place in my heart.

It's crazy good storytelling too, at least up to like a year or two ago.

Sometimes I consider if I can get on disability

As someone who broke in half a year ago and can barely function, it's an uphill battle at best. Here's a sample from my first denial:

You have difficulty performing certain tasks. However, you should be able to take care of your personal need, understand and follow simple instructions, and perform simple jobs.

I have a 128 IQ. But to the US system, I'm just a simpleton that's fit to follow simple instructions and perform simple jobs. That's it. That's the benchmark. And it's not going to get better any time soon.

I wish you the best.

The problem is exactly doing the simple jobs. Give me the complicated any day and I'll keep busy, but doing mindless work is precisely why I can't fit in.

Spending half my time improving the product in ways that management never asked for and say they don't have the budget to do.
