These are non native clovers but there are some species native to California!

Clover is a great companion plant for grasses! The flowers attract pollinators, the broad low-lying leaves reduce moisture loss from the soil, and they affix nitrogen. Also the entire plant is edible.

Clover is in my top 10 favorite plants.

I love the clover in my yard. Get loads of bees during the warm months and it grows way better than grass does in most spots.

I have literally posted pics of my face lol (granted it was covered in professional movie grade makeup for halloween)

Also people have guessed where I am several times and got it wrong every time

A friend gave me a pound bag of clover seed that I've sprinkled over patches of dirt at the house. It doesn't look at good as yours, but it's better than dirt and dandelions

Just give it time. This has taken over a year of my previous property manager being gone and not constantly mowing.

We also didn't even need to spread seed we just stopped mowing and this is how it is naturally now.
