This is exactly how GOP is going to play these games. They've given the insight to us now.
"Oh, you want us to pass bills that help the country? Well...only if democratic politicians got less power! waaah!"
Fucking parasites.

They also already did it in Wisconsin in 2018: https://www.axios.com/2018/12/05/wisconsin-republicans-strip-governor-tony-evers-powers
This is also a favored tactic when it's time to hold the budget hostage with threats of a government shutdown a few times every other year too.
God fucking damnit man. Our local shit going to the democrats has been like my only solace
This is not the time to be giving up election oversight powers of any sort. Veto the fuck out of this bullshit no more weak pushover shit, let the citizens know when Republicans are holding their aid hostage to destroy democratic safeguards
At the moment, vetos don't matter so much in NC thanks to Tricia Cotham. The makeup of the NC legislature is still being settled, so it remains to be seen if the aforementioned remains true going forward.
Not advocating for this... But realistically - shouldn't Republicans be worried folks with terminal illnesses could start getting creative with how they interact with judges and politicians in their final days?
No. They've got the cops on their side, while liberals are too busy screaming at Trans people for costing them the election
This is fine
