Intel is becoming more and more irrelevant by the day and I don't see a way out for them

This is because they are pivoting towards being a foundry and tooling up a foundry is probably one of the most expensive things you can possibly do.

I'm willing to bet there were significant losses with respect to the factory in Israel as well, though. Plus their chips are falling out of favor due to repeated disasters.
