"Donald Trump shielded from child molestation charges by supreme court under presidential acts doctrine"

"Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas notes that presidential child molestation is a time honored american tradition starting with Thomas Jefferson"

That would have been Alito. Also the bible said it's okay, probably.

Gotta marry her tho. Them's the rules.

[–] chaogomu@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago

Unless she's your slave concubine, then you're fine. But you should free your own children.

Also, Sally Hemings was very likely the daughter of John Wayles, Jefferson's father-in-law. Which makes Sally Hemings the half-sister of Jefferson's, by then, dead wife.

She was also between 14 and 16 when Jefferson took her as a concubine.

Worth noting that these transcripts detail Trump forcing 12 year olds to act out lesbian sex while he watched, then give him sloppy head. And apparently when the head was kinda toothy (cuz, ya know, they’re 12,) he got angry and physical.

But sure, let’s elect him as king of the United States.

Was this case dismissed? Still ongoing? How is there not more on this? This would be prison for anyone else no question.

the judge added that the state's leniency in the case "been the subject of much anger and has at times diminished the public's perception of the criminal justice system".

Mmm. Yes.

I Hope everything isn't [REDACTED]

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 55 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Don't worry, just the stuff about Trump.

It's a Florida judge after all.

[–] Zorsith@lemmy.blahaj.zone 19 points 1 year ago (3 children)

I mean, it'd be funny if DeSantis got pissy about not being the GOP presidential candidate and tried to tank trump in "revenge"

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Sadly, he appears to be all in for Trump now.

I sometimes wish lefties had that kind of solidarity. Remember what we did to Al Franken?

Epstein took his own life in a Manhattan jail in 2019 while awaiting trial over federal sex-trafficking charges.

Odd how the BBC would just lie like that.

Think this will change anything?

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 42 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Whether it changes anything or not, the public deserves to know.

[–] dugmeup@lemmy.world 25 points 1 year ago (1 children)

After immunity, these are official acts. Good luck.

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 17 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Most of these charges predate his presidency.

[–] 555_1@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago (3 children)

The Supreme Court will rule that by becoming a us president, a person gains absolution for all their crimes, and cannot be charged with any crimes while in office.

So, taking over the government by force and killing people who disagree with you is actually not a crime at the moment. Hurry up Joe!!!

To me it looks like the judge wants something to be seen. Wealthy-and-connected privilege? Maybe even these documents show how deep into the known names this hole runs? Without the ambiguity of "the only documented thing is a dinner"

But I'm not an expert on the issue and judges in general, so maybe I'm misinterpreting something

[–] Mog_fanatic@lemmy.world 18 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I mean it really has been no secret at all that trump was close friends with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell and at the very least was aware of what was going on for some time. More than likely he participated in some of the nefarious and weird ass crap going on at their properties and while that is certainly not proven, there sure is a lot of damning evidence (also his response when asked if he would release the Epstein files if elected a few weeks ago was hilarious lol). And people just simply don't care. Like not even a little. At this point if it came out that trump was actually the one behind it all and he just had Epstein be the fall guy or something I still don't think it would change anything at all.

If they had a video of him raping a 13 year old it wouldn't matter to MAGAs.

They could have multi-angle IMAX video of Trump cornholing a dozen toddlers and the MAGats would still think he was the second coming of Christ.

How so?

The release of the files came on the same day that a new Florida law took effect permitting grand jury documents from 2006 to be released.
