If you are young, single, no other obligations or hobbies this is probably kind of fun. Of course there is no way for an employer to do this without it turning hella toxic.
If I was young, single and had no other obligations or hobbies, I would still think long and hard about burning the whole place down, if this was even suggested at work.
I think that warming a chair for 8 hours
I did this in college with several buddies when we were working on our own game. The game ended up going nowhere, but it was very fun in a LAN-party kind of way.
I would never do this for an employer.
