In the 90s the "s" symbol was a gay hook up call.

Gay in the time period. Pointy S was drawn by everyone on everything.
If it was ever a hookup symbol, which i haven't heard a wit of before this momemt 20+ years later, most of it's life was lived after escaping containment.
