I'm pretty sure Shingles was released by Herpes, but it's really derivative of their early album Chicken Pox. Common mistake as they're both in the same pox-rock genre.

They all sound the same that's the problem, either way, I had shingles on my forehead and I shit you not I looked fucking IDENTICAL to this image, without the stiches.

i had them on my rib area, albeit small, it did cause permanent damage.

It was making its way towards my eye, the doctors like, if you waited a few more days you'd be blind in that eye, there's definitely some damage to that eye tho, it weeps more than the other and has slightly worse vision than the other now, but they're both fucked in that respect.

my mom and bro had it in thier cranial nerve, leading to eye, but the mom had no permanent damage surprsingly enough given her age and health, which makes her somewhat susceptible to severe infection. there was scarring found in the bros sclera though.

zoster keratitis, i believe can cause blindness if it affects the cornea, the most extreme is needing a transplant. the other severe ones, is hearing loss if it affects the ear, and spinal and brain meningitis.

mines did reach the spine(undiagnosed) i knew something was wrong when i couldnt bend my back normally. its not considered severe if you have no neurological symptoms(vomiting , photophobia, severe headache)

they have new albums like adult chickenpox, or viral pneumonia in adults. plus meningitis.
