I'm not sure why he's wasting time on that orange turd. He should be getting the rebuild of our lost industries going and telling the americans to GTFO and eat dirt at this point. Stengthen ties with EU and Mexico now.
I'm aware that the feds have been working on more international trade with our allies in Asia/Europe/anywhere that isn't the USA....
I was commenting the other day to my SO that most products don't even need to be "made in Canada" for me to want to buy them, they just need to say "not a product of the USA" and I'll consider it a viable option to buy.
Anything made in the USA, I try to avoid or find non-US made alternatives.
ill prefer made in canada, and be fine with 'not american'
That's pretty much me too.
The hardest thing for me is to get rid of Yankee shit is digital services eg Microsoft (use it for work) & google. My next phone will be a nothing or a fair phone.
I agree that Microsoft and Google are difficult to get rid of.
I haven't yet decided what I'm going to do in this regard. Good luck friend.
There’s alternatives, protonmail, NorthMail, lots of non-google search engines, I need to find an alternative to google drive.
I'm very aware of the email alternatives.
My problem isn't with email, it's literally every other service that I log into using my Google/Microsoft accounts.
Drive is one of those....
I wish we could do that. The biggest problem with doing so is oil. There is no continuous pipeline from Alberta to eastern Canada that doesn't move through the States. If the worst happened, the biggest Canadian economies, Ontario and Quebec, would be devastated.
Before that oil was moved through pipelines it was moved by train, I'm sure that could be arranged to bridge some of the demand. Not perfect by any means, but it would help until we could solve the pipeline problem. At this point we need to plan for a "when" scenario.
