Yes, I did reread it and think you actually have a great point.
You’ve totally changed my mind. All electoralism is inherently evil. If the working class is crying out for the boot to be removed from their neck, as principled socialists we absolutely should make sure they know that we actually don’t care. Should the opportunity to make the quality of life and organizing conditions of the working class better arise organically from ideas the working class has, and they are pursuable with almost no effort, we should resoundingly say

The social-democratic/reformist/electoralist contingent on this site often resorts to this type of thing because they have a chip on their shoulder about always being clowned on here, and they probably deep down kinda know the critiques of them from revolutionaries and communists are correct so they overcompensate with vitriol
The policy literally central to the campaign of the candidate being called into question, which won’t be implemented if they aren’t elected, is a strawman? Lol
I’d say you’re acting like a Democrat, but in all honestly I’ve rarely seen Democrats fight so hard against a rent freeze as I’ve seen some of the anti-electoral so-called socialists, who seem absolutely insistent that we allow private landlords to raise rents on literally millions of working class New Yorkers.

You can’t actually believe that a rent freeze is even a remote possibility if Zohran wins, can you?
The rent was frozen multiple times in the past decade, so no I do not believe it’s a possibility, I know it is an inevitability should Zohran be elected.
I also believe it’s an inevitability because I know how the Rent Guidelines Board works. Do you? Because if you did you wouldn’t be saying that. Even Eric Adams RGB voted only 5-4 in favor of raising the rent, and the mayor gets to appoint one member immediately to serve at will.
That balance is in favor of a rent freeze on day one of a Zohran administration.
So do you just go around making up critique about all leftists without actually having a baseline of understanding of the situation you are speaking on? Maybe go try r/politics
Zohran assuming office is basically an inevitably at this point so I’ll make you a deal, I will apologize and admit you were right if a rent freeze happens.
