P.s. and soviet Russia took the country from a dirt farming tsarist shithole to a space power in the span of a few decades despite three absolutely devastating wars (WW1, 2, and the civil war) and despite being far behind the rest of Europe's industry at their start.
It used to be you liberals would cry about how all that was built on the back of gulag slaves or whatever (despite America having the largest prison population both in absolute numbers and per capita, by far, with legalized slavery via the 13th amendment (and more widespread quasi slavery with prisoners paid pennies) and how America is the bastion of free speech. Well, guess what! None of that free speech has done a bit of good, at least not since the democrats entirely sold out to corporate interests.
