It's water with all the bitterness of carbonic acid with nothing to cut the bitterness. It's even worse when it contains quinine. ๐Ÿคข

Yeah but bitter is awesome. Coffee, green tea, beer, etc. I'll take bitter over sweet any day

Green tea

I like green tea because it's sweet. White/baby tea is even sweeter.

Well there are different kinds for sure. I was talking mostly about the matcha types, similar to what you might find in powdered form that gets used in tea ceremony in Japan. They give you a sweet to eat with your tea to offset the bitterness.

I wouldn't call all beer bitter either, but I especially like hoppy IPAs.

The whole point is to contain quinine, to stave off malaria.
