On the more serious note though, does this mean the US couldn't sufficiently drive a wedge between Russia and China? It was my belief that this was their ultimate goal in friendlier relations with Russia. Perhaps its less deep than that but I'm curious to hear y'all's thoughts.
Even a broken clock has to be right twice a day, I guess.
