I wonder if they originally tried to bury him in Arlington but that was a step too far for some folks.

very funny to come out and say this when kirk was not affiliated with the government in any official capacity and really there should be no need for secret service presence at his funeral at all

President Donald Trump, high-level administration and Republican Party officials, and top political influencers are expected to converge in Arizona on Sunday to honor Charlie Kirk, the assassinated conservative activist.

It looks like the SS is there because Trump might attend. CNN does use the weasily "expected" though, and the ever fickle formerly wet boy might just not turn up.
