If Charlie Kirk gets entombed in a place of honor I'll make it my life's mission to excavate that fucker's body in the least respectful way possible.

That's a gofundme I can get behind.

I will donate a jar of piss. I'll piss in a jar. And then figure out a way to transport that.

What happens with that, and Kirks grave, is beyond what I can control. Do with it as you will.

Don't worry. Nazis were also given honorary graves during the second World War. Look how many of those survived after 1945. In the end nazis will lose and everything they created will be destroyed.

This is correct, and it’s legitimately insane to me that the Nazis themselves never see it.

In fact, they will completely deny it afterwards.

I recommend reading They Thought They Were Free: The Germans 1933-1945 by Milton Mayer. This is my favorite quote but the whole book was eye-opening:

When I asked Herr Wedekind, the baker, why he had believed in National Socialism, he said, “Because it promised to solve the unemployment problem. And it did. But I never imagined what it would lead to. Nobody did.”

I thought I had struck pay dirt, and I said, “What do you mean, ‘what it would lead to,’ Herr Wedekind?” “War,” he said. “Nobody ever imagined it would lead to war.”

"They said the leopards would solve the problem of having too many faces, but I never imagined they'd eat my face!"

There is no guarantee that they will lose, that's the problem. Give them enough chances, they only have to win one time and that will be it. One could argue they already did, because democracy and rule of law are not in effect any longer, there is only one way this can still be stopped.

Look at the history. Shit like this always happens. They rise, then they fall. The world gets right, then gets left. It gets a mess, then it gets stable. Etc etc etc

Edit: the bad part is that it will always come at a great cost. So right now it's the question what the price will be, that we as humanity will have to pay. We can go as far as mass extinction these days. I thought we couldn't go there, as during the cold war we didn't either. But now that I know how close we came, what tiny things there were that prevented it... Right now we have a lot more radical, religious and dumb people in places of power. I don't know man.

But if it doesn't come to that, it will go back to the left but goes too far, then it will go more to the right again but people still remember so it won't go too far right, then people see it doesn't work and chose a more stable left. Then there will be a period of stability, until everything starts to happen all over again. It's our human nature.

Is there a male equivalent to "Ding, dong, the witch is dead" one could sing/sound/play in hearing range. I found the British way of dealing with Thatcher that way inspiring.

[–] finitebanjo@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

Kirk was so unpopular I'm willing to bet singles and EPs are being written as we speak

[–] tomiant@programming.dev 3 points 2 days ago

Comparing the two is insulting. She was an actual head of state and a true force of evil, this chump was a two bit podcaster, he deserves neither half flags, having a state burial, nor having any type of songs written about him.

Jesus christ, you're playing into their hands.
