I don't think they locked the sub (yet, anyway). I was just ribbing them for their tendency to post a bunch of "we should go private" threads every time something cool happens. They did go private after Operation Al Aqsa Flood though.
Reddit will probably spare them because of this restraint. You gotta wonder what happens when all the cool accounts get banned anyway though and you're just left with a forum inhabited only by the people who bite their tongues. You go from ironic "I just disavowed all over my desk" to people holding back on well timed spicy memes. The place will either lose its edge, or join us in exile.
