the Iranian military attacked a crowd of protesters, killing ~88 and injuring between 205-8,000. The violence increased the unrest, leading to a general strike and the Shah fleeing the country in January 1979.

The massacre, known as Black Friday, began when thousands of protesters gathered in Tehran's Jaleh Square for a religious demonstration, unaware that the government had declared martial law a day earlier due to widespread political unrest.

Some sources estimate that 4,000 people were shot down by tanks, guns, and military helicopters. The deaths were described as the pivotal event in the Iranian Revolution that ended any "hope for compromise" between the protest movement and regime of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.

The massacre led to widespread protests, and a general strike in October shut down the petroleum industry that was essential to the administration's survival. The Shah fled Iran in January 1979, clearing the way for the Iranian Revolution, led by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

My romance languages professor just generated a paragraph of film analysis in spanish using Deepseek no-no-no-wait-wait-wait

Just so we can make fun of how bad it is. doggirl-thumbsup

It's horrendously poorly written that compares to a high school Spanish student. Overuse of gerunds just like in english text (+ gerunds after prepositions instead of infinitive which is a straight up error), setting up subjunctive clauses but never actually conjugating the subjunctive. Terrible lexicon that sounds like someone fed it through google translate from English, overuse of "pero" and no use of other transitional phrases. No use of perfect tenses in complex sentences, instead erroneously using the preterite in literary analysis. Surface level analysis of subject matter (A is B, but C makes it like D repeated 10 times)

Actually let me not insult high school students, they could do better in broken spanglish than what deepseek could do, I hope this AI theranos machine crashes and burns to the ground. This isn't castellano it's americano-blancano.
