Yeah, there's an interesting nexus in German politics between Nazism and environmental conservation. The "organic" farming movement is really freaky, even occult in some cases.

The ÖDP, a right wing environmentalist party active mostly only in Bavaria was very right wing in the 80s too.

People like Springmann aren't a big deal for the Green Party either way, because what's way more important is that that party is the spearhead of bourgeois moralism, and thus is a RABID defender of anything liberals consider "good"

From the democratic state they so love and feel is the ideal and final form of government (thus being staunchly anticommunist, even with the founders being a bunch of Maoists), to the "rules-based international order" - the most reliable warmongers in the German political landscape.
