Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners.
The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

I mean, I can't believe it's even called into question, there was no danger to the officer from the action.
It's still assault, and in normal times I'd support minor charges. Currently, I'd like to buy the guy a new sandwich.
It may be assault, but only because assault is an extremely generic crime. It could also be considered self defense. At this point, many would consider ICE agents simply being nearby as an imminent threat of harm.
And IIRC from previous reports about this, the prosecution was pushing charges as a felony under a bullshit anti-terrorism clause, and I believe this was the third Grand Jury that chose not to indict.
There is no "may". It is absolutely an assault. Assault doesn't even require physical contact. Battery is arguable and might be a stretch, but it is definitely assault. And no, or was not self defense by any stretch.
As I said though, that's normal times stuff. I don't currently recognize Trump's ICE as a legitimate law enforcement agency, or human beings really.
Yeah, calling it terrorism is bullshit, and actually could itself be considered terrorism in my opinion.
It may technically be assault but I’d challenge to you prove even the possibility of harm.
I’ll support your assault charges after we address larger issues. At this point half of ICE and most of the administration should be in jail. And Elon Muzak for election fraud
My assault charges? I said it was assault, not that assault would be the right charge. What I said is minor charges.
I'm not sure why you think you have to tell me about ICE and the Trump presidency. I'm pretty sure I made my position on that clear. You aren't engaging in conversation or argument, you are ranting. Not that I don't get why.
