Being able to afford food and gas without a second thought (no need to look at prices beforehand)

I don't think that falls in the privileged category but the more general category of how wealthy you are. Imo privileged requires that you were raised with wealth.

Its all relative but yes that makes sense as well. To me, anyone that can just casually buy food is "rich".

When gas passed $1/L in Canada and I decided to ride my bike and got rid of my car. I was a university student and couldn't really afford the car anyway. But I've never left a gas station because the price was too high. If you need gas, you need gas.
