This kind of rhetoric (most of it; Hamas is a resistance organization and much of what they've been accused of has been proven false and Israel is refusing to allow any further independent investigations) is exactly what we've all been saying, and it's Marjorie Taylor Greene saying it?

Have I woken up in an alternate universe? Is the Mandela effect happening?

Literally that first part most especially: trying to explain to people by asking themselves to try putting themselves in the shoes of people from Gaza; it's a sentiment I barely see from pro-Palestinian democrats, but now MTG is saying it? Asking people to think about what it's like if they were going through this?

Also I want to mention, cause it bears mentioning, MTG actually spoke out AGAINST refusing Gazan children to go to America to receive aid.

Seriously, have I woken up in an alternate universe?

The govt spends the money and gambles to gain it back with taxes.

In the case of the US they really don't mind whether they gain it back or not, since the USD is the global reserve currency the US federal reserve and banks can create as much money as they want and the Global South needs the dollars so much that they'll provide the labor and resources necessary for that money to have value.

Sorry to MMT post but I think it's especially ironic in this context, because it means Global South labor is exploited to produce bombs that kill Global South workers.
