Said differently, how necessary or critical is a word within a language. No one is arguing that "a", "an", or "or" are important concepts, but they are important to my ability to convey meaning. Yes, "existence" is more important than "or", but if you removed both of those words from my vocabulary, it would be the missing "or" that would make communication more difficult overall.
