My wife kept on using Chrome on her PC after Ublock was removed from Chrome.
In less than 30 days I had to reformat. Literally had a dancing lady clippy, and 3 "App" stores pop up when you hit windows key. It felt like it was 1998 again. If it was a human being, I would have killed it.
She has had that PC just fine for 7 years now with no issues. I guess she's got out of practice for looking for the real download button....
She finally relented and swapped to Firefox.
