That's for communities, not posts (afaik)
If thats true we should ask the lemmy devs to add a way to link to posts directly
What is the difference?
Not everyone is on the dbzer0 instance - so following your link gives people on other instances a page where they cannot vote, add comments, etc.
For you, https://sopuli.xyz/comment/18557386 would have the same issues, despite it being the best direct link for me.
The lemmyverse.link redirector allows you to set your own instance and then it will redirect you to the same post on your own instance so that you can interact with it while logged in.
Since you're on the same instance as the original link that was posted it will look the same to you.
