Fuck yeah comrade! Was it your first one? How did it go/how do you feel after?

I'm training for one right now but It's gonna be another 11 or so weeks before I get up to that point. The half marathon distance is next week so I'm looking forward to hitting that milestone.

My first marathon. I started running this exact day year ago.

I did it in 3:50:20.

The last 15km I was talking with god. It was so very painful. The course was quite hard. Hilly with dirt paths which I think made everything a lot harder. Also it was 33C today.

Afterwards i felt pretty good. I hydrated, ate a lot of fruit, and smoked a cigarette with my mates. I also cried a bit. It's been a journey.

This was the Bath Two Tunnels Marathon in the UK.

Good luck with your training. Take it seriously, and on the day remember to have fun.

Sub 4 with only a year of running under your belt is really impressive. Good job!

Holy shit, even attempting a marathon within a year of running is super impressive. Did you have an athletic background in other sports? I've been running regularly since 2020 and the longest race I've completed was a very slow 10k. And I actually played a lot of sports growing up but long distance running is so challenging for me (was more into sports with short bursts of speed).

Climbing a bit, bit not really no. Being in China inspired me to take it up.

smoked a cigarette with my mates.

Doing this after running a marathon is flexing on mother nature.
