Israel just carried out a widespread bombing of Iran, which has killed a number of senior officials inside Iran (though it seems the leadership is more-or-less intact) as well as a number of civilians. Important facilities have been targeted, but the amount of damage is unknown so far (note that many important Iranian facilities are deep underground, making them both hard to damage but also hard to determine if they are damaged from just satellite imagery, so reports of damage will be he-said-she-said).

It appears the attack took Iran by surprise, given that a residential block was targeted that contained some senior officials - if one saw an attack coming, one would imagine they'd be in bunkers. Nonetheless, like the rest of the Resistance Axis, I suspect that Iran has adapted their military structures to be resistant to decapitation strikes by ensuring that replacement figures are ready to take the place of killed officials.

Iran has delivered a massive missile barrage in response to Israeli aggression, even though Israel is continuing to bomb Iran. Iran is now aware of the location of many important Israeli sites, including secret nuclear sites, due to their recent intelligence haul, giving them a distinct edge.

Israel-Palestine Conflict

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Sources on the fighting in Palestine against Israel. In general, CW for footage of battles, explosions, dead people, and so on:

UNRWA reports on Israel's destruction and siege of Gaza and the West Bank.

Arab-language twitter account with videos and images of fighting.
English-language (with some Arab retweets) Twitter account based in Lebanon. - Telegram is @IbnRiad.
English-language Palestinian Twitter account which reports on news from the Resistance Axis. - Telegram is @EyesOnSouth.
English-language Twitter account in the same group as the previous two. - Telegram here.

Russia-Ukraine Conflict

Examples of Ukrainian Nazis and fascists
Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Sources:

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.
Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.
Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
Simplicius, who publishes on Substack. Like others, his political analysis should be soundly ignored, but his knowledge of weaponry and military strategy is generally quite good.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Pro-Russian Telegram Channels:

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR's former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR's forces. Russian language.
https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.
https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.
https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster's telegram channel.
https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.
https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.
https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.
https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.
https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.
https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine Telegram Channels:

Almost every Western media outlet.
https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.
https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.

US troops allegedly fed a steak dinner/breakfast tonight, a move historically that has been used on the eve of wars to increase morale.

[–] Awoo@hexbear.net 64 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Iranian deployment?

If this happens we're going to see a carrier kill.

[–] catonkatonk@hexbear.net 49 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I literally cannot imagine what would result from that.

[–] CyborgMarx@hexbear.net 36 points 2 days ago

The result would be the same thing liberals have been claiming has happened to Russia in Ukraine, except this time it would be real

[–] aanes_appreciator@hexbear.net 9 points 2 days ago

war were declared

[–] aanes_appreciator@hexbear.net 30 points 2 days ago

i said in 2024 that if we see a carrier kill I'll defect to ansar allah. good timing on my part I don't fare well in the heat

Let's hope not, but it would fit. What's with the surprising accuracy of of food based predictions of the declining evil empires violent fits? First the pizza party at the pentagram before the attack on Iran. Now steaks predict a US escalation. What's the next headline? Burger orders to the White House signify WW3 is close? New Taco Tuesday at the Supreme Court cantina a sure sign of civil war? Do donut sales spike everytime before police commits atrocities? Run on chinese takeout just before Wallstreet crashes? Someone should write an entirely fast food based analysis of US policy. 🍕 🍩 🍔 🌮

Edit: *Pentagon, not pentagram, but I'll leave it since evil is summoned there too

rumors and statements from a military discord i'm in with several active service members in it (I'm snoopin')

then I saw the rumors corroborated on an anti-fascist substack that they have seen similar reports

Steak-and-eggs is traditionally the breakfast that soldiers are served before active combat missions in the US.

I prefaced this with the fact that these so far are "rumors" and not substantiated by anything other than random statements of supposed active duty personnel. Could be a psy-op.

[–] grandepequeno@hexbear.net 33 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Steak-and-eggs is traditionally the breakfast that soldiers are served before active combat missions in the US.

That sounds so childish, like "here have some slop before you go and die in the desert"

[–] Z_Poster365@hexbear.net 38 points 2 days ago

it's been a thing since WW2 at least, maybe before

Usually troops saw it as a "we're fucked" omen, that they were being sent into a shitshow

[–] aanes_appreciator@hexbear.net 29 points 2 days ago (1 children)

If the US gets involved I highly doubt it would be via land. The US has a healthy supply of cruise missiles, stealth aircraft, and a cozy base in the Indian ocean to fly from.

That is: They will certainly use the airforce almost exclusively, and the navy will be on overtime keeping any Iranian navy ships out of range.

Feels like unless these were airforce or navy that for some reason wouldnt have some steak delivered to their R&R bases like Djibouti, then it is certainly a media play.

[–] Z_Poster365@hexbear.net 29 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

to be clear I don't think the US will put boots on the ground in Iran. I think they will reinforce and strengthen their bases throughout Iraq, Jordan and Syria, as well as possible deploy in occupied Palestine to help pacify Palestinians and operate anti-air defense systems. Probably drone squads as well as support personnel for aircraft.

[–] aanes_appreciator@hexbear.net 15 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Agreed. The insinuation made by the media of "deployment" or "attacks" is either clickbait or an intended effect foreseen by the state.

I dont think anyone should be surprised with reinforced bases in west asia or even American run THAAD batteries in the entity, but the reports will of course play on the WW3 news cycle anyway

[–] Z_Poster365@hexbear.net 11 points 2 days ago

Thing is, this would be a tripwire force. Iran has to hit the air defense systems, many of which will be operated by Americans. Now you have American casualties and casus belli

[–] CyborgMarx@hexbear.net 27 points 2 days ago (4 children)

lmao what are they gonna do? Invade Iran from Kuwait or invade Iraq again to invade Iran? The Pentagon and Trump must have lost their ever-loving minds if they think a ground war in Iran is remotely feasible, sending brigades to fight in Ukraine would be easier

Unless they wanna invade Gaza

[–] MarmiteLover123@hexbear.net 25 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

B-2s over Fordow and Iranian missile cities in Eastern Iran. EA-18G Growlers allowing Israeli and US warplanes to fly over all of Iran, instead of just western Iran and Tehran. B-52s and F-15Es lobbing lots of JASSMs at Iranian facilities across all of Iran.

[–] OnceUponATimeInWeHo@hexbear.net 12 points 2 days ago

So bomb Iran into submission/negotiation? Since ground is a no-go

[–] a_party_german@hexbear.net 16 points 2 days ago

lmao what are they gonna do?

Exactly. This ain't 2003.

[–] aanes_appreciator@hexbear.net 14 points 2 days ago (1 children)

i think it's s media play because the plan from what we all saw a month back would be B-2/B-52/F-35 sorties from Diego Garcia to fling hundreds of standoff munitions outside of the Iranian navy's reach. And if that's true, why not deliver the steaks to the base instead of feeding your troops a morale-boosting meal before taking days to mobilise them?

[–] Z_Poster365@hexbear.net 16 points 2 days ago

the rumors could be coming from active service deployed personnel in Iraq, Syria and Jordan - they may expect to be hit by Iranian rockets and possibly attacked in Iraq by insurgents

[–] Z_Poster365@hexbear.net 13 points 2 days ago

Fortify their occupation bases in Syria, Jordan and Iraq. Deploy aircraft and drone support personnel and pilots. Move naval forces into position to intercept missiles/drones, as well as threaten to strike Iranian strategic assets.

[–] MarmiteLover123@hexbear.net 22 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It looks like the Israeli attack on Fordow failed, so if true that would be why.

[–] aanes_appreciator@hexbear.net 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

what makes the attack there significant to American involvement?

[–] MarmiteLover123@hexbear.net 8 points 2 days ago

Only the US has the planes and the conventional bombs big enough to damage the facilities deep underground at Fordow. Namely B-2 Spirit stealth bombers with the GBU-57 MOP 30 000lb bunker buster bomb.

[–] Alaskaball@hexbear.net 18 points 2 days ago (1 children)

They're preparing to attack Greenland

[–] Z_Poster365@hexbear.net 17 points 2 days ago

truly nobody would expect it

[–] aanes_appreciator@hexbear.net 16 points 2 days ago

make the move while no one is looking. clever

[–] Boise_Idaho@hexbear.net 7 points 2 days ago

The empire treats their cannon fodder with such little respect that it thinks feeding them slightly better slop than usual would somehow boost morale. This is counterbalanced by the fact that the cannon fodder morale actually does go up on the sight of slightly better slop.
