I have been under the impression, since about 2001, that anyone named Hasan got detained any time they passed through any type of ID checkpoint already.

Yeah Hasan had said years ago that he always gets stopped and swabbed for bomb residue by the TSA. There was a viral clip where he was confused because he thought that happened to everyone. However, this time when he was stopped by ICE, they interrogated him about his twitch bans. One of his twitch bans, he famously said "America deserved 9/11".

Just being brown was enough for me, the only time I’ve flown in my adult life without being pulled aside was, funny enough, when I went to China. I used to travel regularly for work, and it was so regular even my coworkers commented on it to the tsa.
