Never forget that the same people lecturing you on ‘muh basic economics’ also think:
austerity literally for austerity’s sake is the most economically sound idea
protectionism is good
Income inequality is good and porky can handle all the consumer spending all by himself
trickle-down will start working any second now
we should subsidize oil
car-centric infrastructure is our top priority and walkable cities with public transportation is the only form of ‘austerity’ they don’t like
that we should keep the number of participants in the economy as small as humanly possible because “muh efficiency”
