That Daily Wire + bullshit probably burned a lot of their money when it ended up failing hard. The only decent thing it had was that Pendragon series and even then the authors hard Evangelical outlook makes me wonder how ham fisted it is in his work.

Edit: looked into it and it’s what I expected. Pendragon Cycle has a hard Evangelical theme and it’s forced down your throat as the series goes on. The books of course. They’ve been filming this series for a while and still have yet to release anything.

Nobody gets that streaming services CAN NOT make money anymore unless you basically have a monopoly (cbs, paramount, Disney, Netflix). Everybody thinks streaming will get them subscription revenue but 95 percent of the time it’s a money pit

I'd bet they, like most streamers outside of major production studios, saw it as a sequel to the "pivot to video" online media strategy and tried to squeeze more blood from a stone. Clearly doesn't seem to have worked
